| Volunteers |
Our volunteers come from all walks of life and include teachers, therapists, social workers, horse enthusiasts, high school and college students, and parents. All volunteers who work with riders and horses attend classroom and hands-on training sessions taught by Program Director and Instructor, Jean Green. Volunteers are required to take a written safety test before working with our students and horses. The safety of riders, volunteers and horses is our first priority and is stressed at all times.
Many of our lessons require up to three volunteers per student, so reliable volunteers are always in great demand at Critter Creek. Previous horse experience is appreciated, but not required. Volunteers are also needed in a variety of other capacities, such as providing transportation for students, fund raising and helping with administrative duties.
We invite you to visit Critter Creek Farm and see our facilities, meet our horses and observe a lesson in progress. Please call or email us for an appointment time and we will be happy to show you around and answer any questions.
